The Grey NATO – 205 – Bond Author Kim Sherwood On ‘Double Or Nothing’

We’re back from our summer break and it’s with a very special episode featuring a chat between Jason and Kim Sherwood. This is a huge treat for the show as Kim is a writer and Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh and she was recently selected to write a trio of Double O novels based in the James Bond universe. The first of the trio, Double or Nothing, releases today in the UK (see the show notes below for links).

Jason and James were provided advanced copies of this exciting new novel, which follows three Double Os (none of which are James Bond) as they navigate a complex and globe-spanning plot to recover Bond and stop a ruthless entrepreneur from robbing the world blind. Jason and Kim chat about her long-standing love of the Bond franchise, how she approached creating her own stories for this universe, some of the special details that ground "Double or Nothing” as a great Double O thriller, and how Bond has changed over the years. It’s a great chat and an even better book, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have Kim on the show.
