With Jason officially back stateside and fighting the good fight against jetlag, we thought it would be fun to chat about a handful of recent watch releases that are too good to ignore. With brand new launches from Doxa, Bremont, Hamilton, Timex, and Aquastar, April was a great month for new watches.
From the top, Jason is in full binge mode while getting back into the flow at home and James is digging through his watch box to wear some stuff that hasn’t seen a wrist in some time. Stay in the mix for a Final Notes with an awesome story about cycling the hard way (on purpose) and yet another entry in the long line of cheap bracelets that have found favor with James.

The Grey NATO – 191 – More New Watches! (Doxa, Timex, Hamilton and More)
I actually really like the bamford LE with the exception of the California dial.
James, decide if you want an open top or not. MGB is without a doubt the most obvious, and likely best choice. Well screwed together, easy to work on, and lots of aftermarket support. That said, the NA Miata does everything better. Outside choice would be an Alfa roadster. The Alfa could be one of the best handling solid axle cars out there. Stay away from the SPICA injection, the Italian is going to be enough work even with Webers... If you're OK with a roof, early 944's are still somewhat attainable, 318i, even an early big bumper with the 2 valve head is still great. A MK I Scirocco is a tiny, fun car that you won't see everywhere.
Jason, if the timing belt got replaced, the timing on the injector pump was likely checked and adjusted. Diesel injection timing is similar to gas ignition timing. A few degrees can make a big difference. Enjoy the whistle and the heartbeat at idle!
Good episode guys!
