The Peseux 7001 is a high-grade handwind-only movement, often rebadged by high-end Swiss and German brands. This image is the Blancpain usage. Nice and thin and small, it is the rare combination of thin and robust.
The Peseux 7001 is for the handwinding party that what the 2824 or 2892 is for the selfwinding fraction: It is popular and reliable, with ample parts supply, easy to service and to adjust. That it can be found in rather cheap watches does not say much, since this movement is often upgraded with considerable effort, both technically and optically, which raises it into an entirely different class.
