Pictures of the wedding of John Dykes and Tina Venditto, April 15, 2000. Olympus D360 digital camera. Note that this was our first extended use of a digital camera, so many of these have incorrect exposures and other glitches. It is so hard to get good help any more.
Both pages are quite large. You can fit a lot of 1.3 megapixel images on a chip with JPEG compression.

New 12/19/00
This is an oddball collection. Four pictures from Whitman, around 1990, of Matt Sabin and myself on the climbing wall. Then five pics from Idaho, early eighties, makes an odd collection.
These were digitized and HTML-ed by the courtesy of a co-worker, Miroslav Siket. Acer slide scanner, not sure about the camera or film. Note that the quarter-size images are manageable, but the full size images are about nine megabytes each!
It's an odd world. Be yourself at all times.

AMS 2000 in New Orleans
January 9-14 in New Orleans for the AMS meeting. I went to see Ingrid Daubechies, the original wavelet goddess. Pictures from the Canon S100 digital, full resolution, medium compression, with scaling and rotation done with xv.

Old Albuquerque pictures
Found these while digging for backups - pictures from our house in New Mexico,
circa 1996 or so. (The timestamps are 1996, but I'm not at sure that's correct.)
This is generation-one digital - a borrowed Sony VGA-resolution Mavica with
really awful artifacts, pixel bloom, etc.

It was too nice to stay instead, so I took a walk up and down the river. The pictures came out well, but my idiot self misread the camera configuration, so they're all low-res. (VGA, 640x480). At least they load super fast.

button on the left side while rotating a dial on the upper right back. Really.
